Hiroaki Ikeda Appointed Strategic Partner of AND ART and Director of KOCHI｜東風
AND ART has welcomed Hiroaki Ikeda as Strategic Partner. At the same time, Ikeda has been appointed Director of KOCHI｜東風, the cultural and arts destination planned and operated by AND ART.
A long-time friend and overseas business partner of Founder & CEO Kiyomi Soga, Ikeda will support AND ART’s growth strategy, business structure, and development of partnerships in Japan and abroad from the perspectives of management and finance.
About Hiroaki Ikeda
At one of Asia’s leading family offices, Ikeda was involved in managing assets valued at hundreds of billions of yen and served as Representative Director. Drawing on a global network of investors, business owners, and executives, as well as his financial and management expertise, he now advises companies on growth strategy, capital planning, and international expansion.
As a collector of contemporary art, he has also spent many years engaging with art fairs and markets in Japan and abroad, while documenting and sharing art and supporting the art world through patronage.
On His Appointment
As Strategic Partner of AND ART and Director of KOCHI｜東風, I am pleased to join the new challenge of Kiyomi Soga, a long-time friend and overseas business partner. I hope to draw on my experience in management and finance to support the growth of cultural and art ventures and help build new partnerships in Japan and abroad.
AND ART’s First Project: KOCHI｜東風
AND ART’s first project is KOCHI｜東風, a new cultural and arts destination in Maruyama Park, Gion, Kyoto, centred on art and Japanese aesthetics.
AND ART plans and operates its two central spaces, Gallery KOCHI and Salon KOCHI. Through exhibitions, collaboration with artists and galleries, communications, and spatial development, we will cultivate and share a cultural value unique to KOCHI while respecting Kyoto’s inherited culture and aesthetic sensibility.
